Lady Gaga to Donate $1 Million to Charity

Lady Gaga has partnered with Robin Hood Foundation, New York’s biggest poverty-fighting organization, to lauch a Facebook contest and donate $1 million to five charities that benefit homeless youth in New York City. Fans can vote for which organization most deserves the money. The results will be announced during Lady Gaga’s performance at Robin Hood’s gala on May 9th and the winning charity will receive a $500,000 grant over a two-year period, with the following charities receiving smaller grants.
“I’m thrilled to be working with the Robin Hood Foundation to distribute funds to help the youth of New York City,” said Lady Gaga. “NYC is my hometown and I think investing in these kids’ future will go a long way.”
The five charities the public can vote for are SCO Family of Services, Lawyers for Children, The Door, Hetrick-Martin Institute and Safe Horizon. Click here to find out more information about the organizations and vote!

Lady Gaga Talks ‘Judas’ Music Video

Lady Gaga revealed some new details about her music video for “Judas,” which is scheduled to premiere on American Idol next week. The singer told MSN Canada that the video, co-directed by Gaga and Laurieann Gibsion, is a metaphor about forgiveness and it “puts destiny above all things and postures that the mistakes in your life are in fact not mistakes at all, they are just part of your overarching potential and your destiny.”

“I want to allow the video to speak for itself but I will say that the theme of the video and the way that I wanted to aesthetically portray the story was as a motorcycle Fellini movie where the apostles are revolutionaries in a modern-day Jerusalem. And I play Mary Magdalene leading them into the town where we meet Jesus and I will leave the rest for you to see. But it’s meant more to celebrate faith than it is to challenge it.”

‘Judas’ Music Video to Premiere on American Idol

The wait is almost over for Lady Gaga’s highly-anticipated music video for “Judas.” The clip, directed by Gaga herself in collaboration with friend and choreographer Laurieann Gibson, is set to premiere on American Idol on the first week of May. Lady Gaga Scores Ninth Top 10 Hit with ‘Judas’

Lady Gaga’s brand new single “Judas” this week debuts at No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. After being rush-released on Friday afternoon, the track sold 162,000 copies in just over two days and gained more than 26 million audience impressions on the radio. “Judas” becomes Gaga’s 9th consecutive top ten hit and third-highest debut on the chart.

Lady Gaga Nominated for 12 Billboard Awards

Lady Gaga is among the finalists for the 2011 Billboard Music Awards with 12 nominations, including Top Pop Album and Top Dance/Electronic Album, where she is listed with three records. Gaga is also the only singer to score a Top Artists nomination without releasing an album in 2010.
Billboard Music Awards reflect the magazine’s year-end charts and are not based on public or jury votes. This year’s show will air on Sunday, May 22nd on ABC.

Lady Gaga to Guest-Edit Metro International

Metro, one of the world’s largest newspapers, announced today that Lady Gaga will guest-edit all of their international editions on May 17th. In her role as the global editor-in-chief, Gaga will highlight issues related to equality and individuality, provide comments on the breaking news of the day and select stories for Metro’s editions in 20 countries from the London office of Metro World News.
The newspaper will also run a competition where one fan will be chosen as Lady Gaga’s editorial assistant. The contest will challenge readers to share what makes them “born this way” and to identify what issues of equality affect them. “Let’s see how fans would define what ‘Born This Way’ is for them,” says Gaga. “I say I was born to be brave. That’s part of my mission in life. I was born to follow my artistic visions. Look into yourself. Are you born to be brave?”

Lady Gaga Announces ‘Judas’ Release Date

 Lady Gaga has announced that her new song “Judas” will premiere on April 19th. The singer revealed the song’s release date in the newest episode of Transmission Gagavision. At the end of the video, she wrote: “If they were not who you were taught that they would be, would you still believe?”
“Judas” will be released as the second single from the Lady Gaga’s album Born This Way, due out in May. The track was produced by RedOne, who is responsible for such Gaga hits as “Bad Romance” and “Poker Face.”

DAMPAK POSITIF DAN NEGATIF INTERNET BAGI PELAJAR

Berinternet itu ada beberapa hal yang negatif dan positif bagi belajar brad .
Nih ya saya kasih tau dampak positifnya dulu aja brad okay okay ;) :
1. Dengan adanya jejaring social seperti FACEBOOK, TWITTER, MYSPACE, dll, kamu bisa mendapatkan teman baru dan bisa bertemu lagi dengan teman lama mu,
2. Dengan adanya bah GOOGLE kamu bisa mencari apa saja yang kamu butuhkan untuk tugas-tugas disekolah,
3. Jika kamu susah mencari atau ingin mecari sekolah sekolah di luar kota atau negri kamu bisa mencarinya melewati internet


Kayanya saya cuma tau segitu aja deh hal positifnya, nah skrg kita ke hal yg negatif okay ;) :
1. Kita bisa melihat video yang untuk orang dewasa
2. Berinternet dampak mengganggu waktu belajar kita, karena kita bisa terlalu lama bermain permainan online atau membuka face dan twitter
3. Berinternet bisa membuat pelajart lupa akan waktu belajar,
4. Keseringan berinternet dapat membuat pelajar males untuk segala tugas sekolah.

BERINTERNET SECARA SEHAT

Sebelumnya maaf kalau terlalu panjang hahaha :P
Kalau dahulu kita mengenal pepatah "dunia tak selebar daun kelor", sekarang pepatah itu selayaknya berganti "dunia saat ini selebar daun kelor". Cepatnya akses informasi di berbagai belahan dunia dengan menggunakan internet, seolah-olah membuat bumi ini menjadi sempit. Perkembangan teknologi ini cukup pesat, bahkan sudah menjadi tuntutan yang tidak bisa dipisahkan dari kehidupan bermasyarakat.

Dekan Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Pasim Bandung, Doddy Sholahudin mengatakan, ungkapan itu saat menggambarkan besarnya efek dari perkembangan teknologi informasi. Mengetahui informasi dari belahan dunia lain, sudah tidak menjadi hambatan lagi. Bahkan, informasi tersebut bisa didapatkan dalam hitungan detik. Kemajuan teknologi ini juga tentu menyebabkan perubahan yang begitu besar pada kehidupan umat manusia, dengan segala peradaban dan kebudayaannya. Perubahan gaya hidup ini sangat berpengaruh, terutama di kalangan kaum muda.

Jika dulu kita melihat para siswa bersekolah dengan hanya membawa buku pelajaran atau alat tulis, kini ada satu bawaan "wajib" mereka yaitu telefon genggam. Entah sebetulnya mereka benar-benar membutuhkan telefon genggam tersebut alat komunikasi atau tidak, yang jelas bagi remaja sekarang telefon genggam merupakan sarana gaul yang mutlak dimiliki. Bahkan, semakin bagus telefon genggam, semakin merasa gaul dan percaya diri mereka.

Namun, ada lagi yang kemajuan teknologi yang membawa dampak besar terhadap gaya hidup saat ini yaitu internet. Secara psikologis, salah satu pengaruh buruk internet akan terjadi, bila digunakan sebagai sarana untuk mengisolasi diri. Banyak orang yang tidak sadar bahwa ia lama-kelamaan menutup diri terhadap komunikasi sosial. Hal itu bisa dikarenakan terlalu asik ngebrowse atau internet dipakai sebagai pelarian dari masalah-masalah, yang berhubungan dengan kepribadiannya. Hal itu dapat terjadi, karena ada inidividu yang menampilkan kepribadian yang berbeda pada saat online dengan offline.

Psikolog dan pengarang buku, Michelle Weil memberikan contoh konkret mengenai seorang gadis yang dijauhi teman-temannya, lalu kemudian menghabiskan waktu untuk mojok melakukan chatting dengan menampilkan karakter yang sangat kontradiktif dengan aslinya. Hal itu mengakibatkan ia semakin jauh dengan kenyataan sosial yang ada, bahkan tidak bisa menerima diri apa adanya.

"Misalnya saja dalam jaringan sosial Facebook, kita bisa dengan mudah menghapus orang yang kita tidak sukai atau setiap terjadi kesalahan dengan mudah, tetapi tidak di dunia nyata. Di dunia nyata orang harus menerima konsekuensi dan dituntut bertanggung jawab dari apa yang dia lakukan," ujarnya.

Menurut pakar psikoanalisa Erich Fromm, kondisi demikian dinamakan neurosis. Kondisi neurosis yang berkepanjangan akan mengakibatkan gangguan jiwa yang serius. Bahaya latennya adalah terbentuknya kepribadian online yang berbeda dengan yang asli.

Beranjak lebih jauh, ada hal yang tidak bisa disangkal mengenai keberadaan internet, yaitu semakin mudahnya mengakses materi pornografi. Doddy mengatakan, situs-situs porno masuk sebagai Top 10 Website, yang paling bayak dikunjungi di Indonesia. Dengan melihat jumlah pengakses situs-situs porno di internet yang cenderung meningkat dari hari ke hari, maka perlu diwaspadai dampak penggunaan internet tersebut terhadap kesehatan mental dan interpersonal pengguna internet itu.

Menurut Doddy, dilihat dari sudut pandang psikologi, diperlukan kemampuan individu yang bisa membangun sikap kritis dalam menghadapi kemajuan teknologi informasi ini. Dia mengatakan, meningkatkan kemampuan untuk belajar memilih, yaitu kemampuan mana yang bermanfaat atau tidak. Selain itu, individu juga perlu dibentuk sikap yang bertanggung jawab yaitu yang bisa melakukan berbagai hal menurut keinginan mereka, tetapi menerima segala konsekuensinya.

Untuk itu, Doddy menjelaskan beberapa tips yang bisa digunakan orang tua agar bisa sehat menggunakan internet. Pertama, buat aturan main sebagai pedoman anak-anak dalam mengakses dunia maya. Kedua, orang tua harus melek internet sehingga tahu cara menggunakan internet secara sehat. "Orang tua tidak perlu menjadi ahli internet, tetapi cukup tahu informasi-informasi yang penting, sehingga bisa membimbing dan mengawasi. Selain itu, Doddy juga menyarankan agar internet bisa dimanfaatkan seoptimal mungkin sebagai sumber informasi yang positif bagi keluarga. "Apalagi saat ini banyak situs-situs mendidik, yang bisa dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber belajar," ujarnya.

Tidak hanya kesehatan jiwa, pengaruh internet juga bisa berakibat pada mata. Spesialis mata dari Cicendo, Andhika Prahasta mengatakan, secara umum sebaiknya tidak menggunakan komputer dalam jangka waktu lebih dari enam jam. Dia mengatakan, saat ini semakin banyak dijumpai keluhan masyarakat dalam menggunakan internet. "Mata menjadi berair, bila dibiarkan bisa menyebabkan mata minus," ujarnya.

Untuk itu, Andhika menyarankan agar penggunaan internet tidak lebih dari enam jam. Pengguna komputer juga disarankan untuk beristirahat selama 10 menit, apabila sudah menggunakan internet selama satu jam. Selain itu, dia juga menyarankan agar meluruskan posisi duduk antara mata dengan komputer. Sementara untuk menghindari kerusakan lebih lanjut, pengguna komputer juga disarankan untuk menghindari sinar yang menyorot layar komputer dari belakang. "Sinar yang menyorot layar komputer, akan menimbulkan efek negatif yang adapat merusak mata," katanya
